This morning after teaching two classes back to back, I came back to my office to find a super sweet surprise from one of my members here at Porters Neck Country Club. It definitely made my morning! Now I'm hanging out getting some work done from my office and running some body fat tests for members who drop in between 11:30-1:30. Once a month, we offer "Free Body Fat Friday" in which members can get a free skin fold test during the allotted time. Other than that, I'm out of here at 3:30 today and hopefully going to get some Christmas shopping done today. It's December 13th, and yeah...I haven't even started. Is that bad?
Speaking of Christmas...check out these pictures I took last night over at the Brink's House! Keep in mind, I do not have a camera so my photos aren't always the best and can't do a lot of things justice because I'm using my phone. But their house was something else. It was completely decked out in Christmas cheer. Walking inside was literally, like being at the North Pole. I took a few photos of some of my favorite stuff.
Charlie Brown Christmas tree
I just thought this was cute, and the scoop of sparkly snow was so cool
The villages were so much fun! Every little one had a theme and tiny little people to go with it. The intricate details on each and every single piece was just insane!
I forgot to get a photo of the tree but it was really special too. Nancy spent nine hours alone on the tree, cutting and wrapping Christmas lights around every single branch. I don't know how she has the patience for that, but I guess it probably has something to do with lighting that tree up when it's finally done and taking in the breathtaking, final product.
She also had a bunch of Christmas decorations that had been in the family for years, passed down from her parents or made by her sons when they were kids, which I thought was neat. She had pieces that she made in college and as a young adult that were still in perfect condition. It was so much fun to hang out over there and get to see their winter wonderland. I always enjoy my time with Nancy and Ron, they are so supportive of me, (even though Ron LOVES to give me a hard time).
I'm off to grab some lunch and finish up here, I hope you have a great start to your weekend!
Question of the day:
Have you started your Christmas shopping? Are you completely done?
