I have so much to look forward to this month in chronological order:
- Finally getting to read Slaughterhouse by Gail Eisnitz- I've been searching for this book for a while now at local libraries, and bookstores in town. I finally found it on Amazon from Seattle Goodwill and got it used in hardback for 5 bucks. I'll take it! This is the book that many people read and end up going vegan and for some reason I just have never had a chance to read it. I never wanted to pay full price so I was pumped when I found it so cheap. The book arrived while I was in Kentucky so that was a nice surprise to come home to.
- My friend and coworker- Kendrick's baby shower this Saturday! She's due in December and having a little girl!
- My sister's birthday on the 13th (though I wont get to see her)
- The Color Me Rad 5k Race in Wilmington
- More vacation and Zachary visiting the weekend of the 24th!
- Halloween
This morning I slept in til 7, walked the pups, whipped up a peanut butter chocolate protein smoothie and made it to a Hot Yoga Class by 9. The class was a slow paced, 5 Elements Earth Flow class that actually was just the right class for me this morning. I was stiff and still extremely tired from travelling so the slow pace and hot room gave me a chance to get nice and warm and work my way into each pose. I left class sweaty and feelin good! I snacked on some frozen grapes on my way to work and now I'm digging into a small greek salad. Yum!
Plans for the afternoon include office work, staff meeting at 1, maybe a cardio "lunch break", teaching TRX class at 4 and playing kickball with The League, my Juniors group this evening. I have one bag left to unpack from my trip and would like to give the inside of my car a good cleaning this evening. In a perfect world, I would have enough energy to go get a quick lift in this evening, but I'm not going to be upset with myself if I don't.
I hope you enjoy your afternoon!
Question of the day:
What about October excites you?
