Banana Coconut Cream Milkshake

We have been having a huge lack of sunshine in Wilmington lately. This morning, I decided to bring the sunshine to my apartment with a tropical flavored, protein packed milkshake!


I'm tellin' you, that silken tofu and frozen banana mixture is the secret to thick milkshakes without using ice cream. I've also heard really good things about full fat coconut milk in terms of creating good texture for shakes. Unfortunately, I will not be trying that anytime soon, as it can be very high calorie.

I did about 10 minutes of cardio followed by a chest/tricep workout at the gym this morning. The first half of my day is going to be a busy one. I've got two classes to teach back to back and then I'm heading out to pick up our race packets for the Color Me Rad 5k Sunday morning. I was excited to find out yesterday that friends/coworkers Brooke and Mandy will be walking it with me so I wont have to go at it alone. Woohoo!
