Check out that line out the door for the Color Me Rad 5k this Sunday. I went to pick up our race packets this afternoon and was surprised to find out 9,000 runners are already registered for the race. Should be fun!
I spent the remainder of the afternoon writing some workouts for the next few work days. One of the great things about working in fitness? The rush at the gym is early in the morning so I typically get a huge jumpstart on the work day than the normal nine to fiver. The best part about this comes right around 3:30 on Friday when those "is it the weekend yet" feelings start to set in and I'm packing up to leave!
The rest of my evening should include lots of rest and relaxation as I am exhausted. For some reason I haven't had one good night of sleep this week so I'm hoping to catch up tonight. Since I have to be up for work around 5:45 tomorrow, bedtime is looking earlier and earlier for this exciting young lady. My parents and boyfriend are probably very satisfied with my seemingly boring Friday nights. To be completely honest, when I'm exhausted, nothing sounds better to me than an evening relaxing with the pups, watching Netflix and maybe a few treats. I'm easily satisfied!
Speaking of treats.... here are some of my favorites that I'm currently eating (in moderation, of course!)
Treats I'm Lovin' Lately
Hint Water- zero calories, no sugar. It has a subtle hint of the flavor just as you finish taking a drink. No funky artificial sweetener taste here!
Angie's Sweet and Salty Kettlecorn- at just 140 calories for 2 whole cups, this stuff hits the spot when you have a sweet tooth. I typically just get myself one cup, so it's only 70 calories!
Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice Tea- Tastes like a cookie! It's soooo good and one of those perfect drinks for the holiday season. Oh, and no calories or caffeine!
Frozen Grapes- I absolutely love slightly thawed frozen grapes. I have these daily. 17 grapes are 110 calories. Buy them, wash them, separate them into ziplock baggies and pop in the freezer so they are ready to go when you are!
Oreos- One of the shocking vegan favorites! One regular oreo is 53 calories so I typically limit myself to one or two. Just enough to get that sweet tooth edge off!
Your Turn!
What are some treats you are currently enjoying?
