Tropical Protein Smoothie

This morning I woke up at 3:30am! I don't know what my deal is this week but I cannot, for the life of me, get a good night's rest. After laying in bed until 4 (plus a lot of the night on and off) I decided I was just going to get up and start my day. I took the Fitness Pups for a long walk and they were pantin' like crazy when we got back. Then I took myself to the gym to get my workout on. I did an hour of cardio and a leg workout. Very sweaty!

Breakfast
Can you believe it??? I finally mixed up my protein smoothie flavor! (only because I'm fresh out of PB2). This morning when I got to work, I made a sweet summer tasting smoothie that was a great post workout breakfast!

In the smoothie:
  • 1 scoop Vega One Sport Vanilla Protein Powder (You can use any vanilla flavored protein)
  • 2 tablespoons finely shredded coconut
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk
  • 7-8 ice cubes
Enjoying summer while it's still here. I have to say however, I am very excited for Fall. I'm anxious for the weather to cool down a bit and the humidity to drop so I can really start to enjoy some outdoor exercise. My long haired pups don't do well in the heat so we will all be a lot more comfortable when the weather drops a bit.

  • Zachary visiting me for my birthday in October
  • Home to my parents for Thanksgiving with my brother and Michelle and Eva!
