Oatmeal Pecan Chocolate Chip Protein Cookies

The second reason today is so special is that it is also Zachary's birthday! I spent this morning working on a Pecan Chocolate Chip Protein Cookie recipe for his special birthday treat, as well as wrapping a few presents. Lucky for me, I am off today so we are going to spend the rest of the morning doing Zach's absolute favorite thing in the world- lifting. Couples who work out together, stay together!


 After that, we are going to meet his parents in Garner, North Carolina for dinner. It will be my first time visiting Zach's hometown so it should be a nice little trip. Happy Birthday Zachary, I hope you enjoy your special day!

Pecan Chocolate Chip Protein Cookies (not vegan)

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup vanilla whey protein powder (You can also use chocolate)
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp agave nectar
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a single bowl, stir to combine.
  3. Spoon out balls onto greased baking sheet and form into cookies.
  4. Bake for 5-8 minutes, depending on size of the cookies.
