TRX Class

Good morning and happy Friday! It's officially the weekend. The members of Porters Neck Country Club and I had such a great time in TRX class last night, I wanted to share a little recap with you guys. Check out our beautiful setup in the new studio. I'm a huge fan of the natural light and the beautiful wood floors.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with TRX training, TRX stands for Total (body) Resistance Exercise. This type of workout, called suspension training, is a hybrid of all the important aspects of training- coordination, balance, stability, strength and cardiovascular endurance. Every move is modifiable making it suitable for all physical activity levels. If you haven't tried TRX yet, you should! I recently got my qualification  and have been hooked ever since.

Yesterday's class in particular, was a blast here at the PNCC Sports Center. We always have a couple new people and several who religiously attend every TRX class. Today, I incorporated a new one-legged squat that requires a lot of balance and coordination and I was so proud, the participants NAILED it! Even our first timer got it down. Great job you guys!

Here's what we did for the first half of class:

The suspension trainers should be used with a qualified TRX professional.

Have you tried TRX? What did you think?
