Friday Finds #3

Who else is doin' the Friday dance?

After another busy week I am excited to have some time to catch up on some things outside of work the next two days! I have a 13 mile run tomorrow morning, a couple other easier workouts, two slow pitch softball games and some odd jobs I'm doing for a few friends to get some extra cash. Which by the way, if you haven't heard, I am in need of some extra money lately so if you have any little furry friends that need sitting, I'd love to help!

I'm thinking this Five Friday Finds thing is going to stick around because I'm always finding good stuff that I want to share with you guys. So here we are, with week #3!

1. Happy Squeeze- Fruit and Veggie Twist

I found these in bulk at Costco and found them to be a great way to get more fruits/veggies in. They are 70 calories and super easy to throw into my purse/workout bag for mid-morning or post workout fuel. Yesterday, after my 4-mile speed workout at the track with my running group, I "happily squeeze" one of these right into my tummy. :) I know I am always trying to find ways to eat more fruits and veggies, and on top of my Juice Plus capsules, these fit right in as a delicious snack!

2. Steps of Forgiveness

Someone in a class I am attending shared this with me on Monday night and unfortunately, the photo didn't show up well when it was uploaded. I made my own version!

Take this, print it out and post it up somewhere to remind you, to be forgiving of yourself and of others daily! Number three is my favorite!

3. Heaven is for Real

I got this movie from the Redbox yesterday and I'm so glad that I did. It was super cute! I'd recommend it, definitely a good family night movie. It's based on a true story which makes it even more powerful!

4. Maximum Strength Cortizone-10 with Healing Aloe

If you have been reading the blog for a while you know I struggle fighting off mosquitoes and ceratopogonidae (biting midges) or what North Carolinian's like to call "noseeums." These are little tiny gnat-like bugs that you don't even see (hence the name) but they bite the crap outta me! The ladies in some of my classes happened to notice my abundance of scabs/scars from scratching bug bites. One super sweet member brought me this stuff and it has been a LIFESAVER! I recommend it to anyone with any type of itch, it's easy to apply, works quickly and the aloe is very soothing.

5. PNCC Workout of the Week

Looking for a quick workout to do? Try this one! Also, check out our latest promotional video for the club. There's a couple shots of yours truly in action!

What have you stumbled upon this week that's worth sharing?

  1. Check out the DVD God's Not Dead. It's another really good movie just out at Redbox.
