Cold Running Motivation- Workout Playlist and Lulu Lemon Mittens

Good afternoon, how is everyone doing today?

Last night I attended the Cape Fear Cyclists Annual Dinner at our local Front Street Brewery. Upon arrival I was happy to find out they were able to accommodate my needs as a vegan and served me a portabello mushroom wrap in a grilled panini with spinach and red pepper. Not too shabby.



It was a well-attended event and very enjoyable. We honored the club founder Terri Benjy, a very loved member who passed away this year in a bike accident, as well as a member who hit 10,000 miles biked since January after a bone marrow transplant last year. There are some very inspirational members in our club!

Today
This morning started off with a 27 degree run for this girl. That'll wake ya right up! I had 4.5 miles to cover total so I made my way over to Greenfield Lake to enjoy some of the scenery. 


My first mile was slow and cold but after that, I warmed right up. Music always helps get me going. Here's what is motivating me right now:

Warm Lulu Lemon mittens with a tech friendly thumb help too. These are super pink and super cute. They also have that special material on the thumb so that you can still use a touch screen ipod and change the song without having to completely remove your gloves mid-run. That was always such a hassle for me before so these gloves are perfect. I bought them last year but I can imagine Lulu Lemon has all sorts of new, cute, and functional gloves out for the current season. 


Post workout meal included a banana, some grapes and a peanut butter Clif Bar. 


Today has been another busy one, I've got a client coming in at 3:15, TRX class at 4 and a game watching party at Buffalo Wild Wings with the Marshall Alum Crew at 7. Busy, busy, busy!
