Happy Veteran's Day!
Thank you to those who have served and who are currently serving our country.

Today has been a bit of a downer for me. I am already really missing Zachary and my family. Being away is so hard! I loved the time I got to spend with them this weekend, but I sure hate seeing them all go. I do get to see everyone again in two weeks so I guess I just have to keep that in mind.
I have spent almost the entire day sitting in my office doing busy work such as employee scheduling, updating our Fitness classes and making plans for our Golf Fitness Seminar this weekend. It's been a busy day, which is probably a good thing. After teaching TRX at 4, I will be heading out for the evening. I am taking today as a rest day so plans for the evening include lounging around with the Fitness Pups and probably watching "The Killing." Hopefully Zach will have time to skype with me. Thank goodness for advancing technology so I can at least "see" my loved ones every now and then. Thanksgiving cant get here fast enough.
Half Marathon Training Week Two
Last week, I had three runs at 3.75 miles each. The training plan called for .75 mile running followed by .5 mile walking, three times each. I can already see cardiovascular changes as far as heart rate and lung efficiency. I still had a rough time with the shin splints but I think as I continue to increase my mileage those will start to work themselves out. Hopefully I will continue to lean up some which will probably help.
Monday- Run #1 + Restorative Yoga
Tuesday- Rest
Wednesday- Run #2
Thursday- 15 min cross training on elliptical, leg lift, foam rolling
Friday- Rest
Saturday- 20 minutes cross training on elliptical
Sunday- Run #3
This week I'm up to 4.5 miles for each run, putting me at 13.5 total for the week with some walking still in the mix!
Have a good evening!
