Me and My Blog

There are so many things I would like to cover on this blog including workouts, recipes, personal stories, and current trending topics on exercise, health and wellness etc. Just to make things clear, this blog consists of MY thoughts and opinions developed through my school education, continuing education and my own personal experience with my life as well as those I have worked with. It is not just about veganism but more-so about me and my story and the topics that I think are important/fun to share, hence why the web address is veganfittie.blogspot.com (because I am a vegan and a fittie!) I don't want anyone to be turned off by the web address and assume this is a vegan only blog, it is not.

Now that we got that out of the way, here's a little survey I saw on another one of my favorite blogs so you all can get to know a little bit more about me. The survey is called "currently" and it will give you a little insight into the things I am loving right now. Please post some of your current favorites in the comment section!

Current Book(s):
Yesterday while laying out at the pool on my day off, I finished the book "Love the One You're With" by Emily Griffin.  It was about a girl who gets married and within their first year together she runs into her first love on the streets of New York. They decide to have coffee together and things get interesting from there. It was a little long-winded through the beginning but the end kept me coming back for more.

This is the next book on my list compliments of my beautiful mother. I'll let you guys know how it goes!

Current Music:
Lately I have been listening to a bunch of random songs. Here's whats on my current workout playlist:
Countdown-Beyonce
Heart Attack- Demi Lovato

22- Taylor Swift
Cruise Remix- Florida Georgia Line ft. Nelly (OBSESSED)
I Like it Like That _Hot Chelle Rae
Alive - Krewella
The Way - Ariana Grande
Current Guilty Pleasure:
Vegenaise! It sounds disgusting but it actually is a really great mayonnaise substitute made for vegans. It's gluten and egg free and averages about 90 calories per tbsp. The label boasts the real mayonnaise taste with extra omega-3 fatty acids (essential fats we cannot make in the body but must get through diet). At anywhere from $4.99-5.99 for 16 oz it is quite expensive but boy does it make everything taste better. And it's guilt-free if you're an animal lover like me!

Current Nail Color:
Nothing! Last week I had a nude color on my nails and this week I'm going all-natural! Wow I sound pretty boring, huh?
Current Drink:
Starbucks Refreshers, they are tasty and VERY refreshing in very berry hibiscus and cool lime flavors. Also low calorie and contain green coffee which current research is showing to be fantastic for metabolism. I also am on a huge bengal spice tea kick. My cutie boyfriend likes to surprise me with a box every now and then which I think is super sweet. :) No caffeine, no calories, tastes like a cookie!
Current Food:
Sushi. With avocado and tofu. YUM!
Current Wish List:
New running shoes...
How cute are these?

and also, a new LAPTOP! So I can blog on my days off.
Current Blessing:
My job! I have done a lot in fitness throughout my life including working in strength and conditioning, teaching PE classes at the University level, Personal Training, teaching classes and working as a Fitness Coordinator in Campus Recreation at a University. My current job at Porters Neck Country Club is perfect, the staff is great, the members are awesome and I'm really enjoying it!
Current Outfit:
Grey Nike tee, purple Nike shorts, a teal Nike hat and my oldddd running shoes. If you asked me this on another day it would look exactly the same, but probably different colors! :)
Current Excitement:
Right now, I'm excited to try out a new restaurant in the area called "Epic". Recommended by my friend and coworker Sara, it is said to have lots of vegan options. Zach (my bf) and I try to go on at least a few date nights a month and tonight we are trying it out!
Your turn!
What are you "Currently" into?
