Good morning from the Sofie household!
We spent Christmas Eve visiting, eating, opening gifts, playing holiday games and attending a candlelight service at church.

Christmas day brought more presents, more eating, movies and the celebration of my Grandma's 89th birthday! There aren't many people in this world that I love more than my Grams. I know how lucky I am that my parents were gracious enough to care for her for the last 20 years in the comfort of our home, allowing me to develop a deeper relationship than most grand kids get to experience. I am so very grateful for all of the time I get with her, as she means so very much to me! Happy Birthday Grams, love you so much!
I'm glad she got some time with her son, my Uncle John, as well. Most of our family lives on the West Coast so she doesn't get to see them a ton, so that was great for her!
Today
My dad and I had a date this morning at the batting cage. I'll tell you what, I can still crush the ball but MAN am I starting to feel my age. It was fun for us to go back to our old stomping grounds. A lot of Christmas and summer vacations were spent training for hours in that facility. Now I am waiting on my sister to come home from work so that I can take her on our traditional after-Christmas date! Every year my brother gives her a Target gift card and then I take her out the day after Christmas to shop. I think she likes it because my mom isn't there to tell her what she can and cannot get so she feels like she gets a bit of freedom.
Gotta love all the family time! I hope you are able to enjoy some as well!
