I cleaned,
and cleaned,
and cleaned some more!
It wasn't fun but I'm glad I got it over with and now have a spotless apartment for Zachary's arrival this evening.
I took a break to run some errands mid-morning yesterday. I stopped by World Market because I received a $10 birthday reward and picked out some yummy pumpkin candles. I also had a few items to get from Walmart, one in particular- a pillowcase. Little Miss Muffin decided to chew the corner completely off one of my pillow cases! Lhasa Apsos are really funny because for some reason, they love to lick weird things. My dogs will just lay on my bed and lick and lick and lick the pillows and the comforter. If I don't stop them, they would do it for hours!
Funny story- I had a black couch at my old apartment in Huntington, WV during college. Grady used to lick the couch until it appeared to have large white rings around the lick spots after they had dried. A friend watched the dogs for me while out of town and admitted to bringing a towel to sit on my couch every time he came to let them out because he thought it was dog pee on the couch! Too funny!
It's a good thing they are so dang cute because otherwise we might have problems! They will be so excited when Zachary gets here, specifically Muffin. She goes crazy! Grady gets a little jealous because he doesn't like anyone taking away from mommy and Grady time.
I saved my workout until 8pm last night so that I could watch Biggest Loser from the mini-gym at my apartment complex. I was really inspired by one of the contestants whose wife gave birth to their newborn son this week. Despite being away from home and on the Biggest Loser Ranch, he kicked his motivation in high gear and worked harder than ever. I loved it! For my workout, I split time between the treadmill and elliptical and did some bicep work during commercials. All in all it was a good little workout.
By the way...
If you are a dog owner, make sure you read this!
My mom called this morning and told me to make sure not to give the Fitness Pups any dog jerky for a while. Apparently all dog jerky is being recalled as over 600 pups have died from it! They still aren't sure what the source is so throw out anything you have.
