Sitting is the New Smoking

In case you haven't heard, it's true! Sitting is the new smoking. I talked about the dangers of sitting here a few months ago. So, maybe you've tried exercising or going to the gym and it's just not for you. That's okay! There are a million other ways to move whether it be dancing, bowling or working on a car. Here's a list of common activities and the average amount of calories burnt during a 60 minute time frame. In each category, they are listed from the least vigorous, being on the lower end of the calories burnt, to the most vigorous in the category. It's hard not to find one that doesn't work for you!

Keep in mind, these are estimated and based on a 150lb individual. Obviously, everyone's pace during these activities would differ, so imagine that these activities are being done at a moderate pace.
