Weekend Workouts

Happy Sunday! I hope this weekend finds you well rested with some great workouts under your belt!

Weekend Recap
Saturday for me was an easy two-miles followed by a short bike ride that turned into 40 minutes after chatting with my mommy while I pedaled. Then, I had a very light leg circuit as I am still babying a pulled hamstring. I did a few sets of leg curls, wall ball squats, cable glute kickbacks and ad/abductors on the cable as well!

I spent the rest of the morning and mid afternoon packing up my apartment! Now you know what has been keeping me too busy to blog every day! I spent my time outside of work last week apartment hunting and finding a subleaser for my current place. Apparently I live in the hot spot in wilmington because within hours of posting my apartment to Craig's list, I had about 20 inquiries in my inbox. The lease was officially transferred less than 48 hours later and I am officially packing to begin my move on Tuesday.

I finished off a busy Saturday with two slowpitch softball games! Thankfully, my hammy held up, as I made it a point not to sprint after every single ball hit to the outfield, (so hard not to!) As competitive as I am, I have fun playing a more laid back version of the game I grew up loving. But you know I still take every opportunity to turn a single into a double and throw someone out at first on a base hit to the outfield. Some things just don't change! That's what makes it fun for me though!

As busy as I was throughout the day, I slept terribly last night, in fact, I wouldn't even call it sleeping. So, I opted out of an early run at the beach with my group and decided to let myself sleep in. Of course, I couldn't sleep past 7:30, go figure! So after walking the Fitness Pups, I packed up my hydration backpack, Garmin and my gu's and headed out for an 11 mile run.

Enjoying what will probably be one of my last runs around Greenfield Lake, near my current apartment. I always liked the sites, but every single GPS watch I have ever owned, acts up around this lake. So I always end up with inaccurate readings for my paces. Regardless, there was quite a bit of walking today because it was just unbearably hot. Not my best run, but hey, they can't all be great.

I can't wait to have everything done and get into my new place! It's just a seven minute drive from work, and there are two routes I can take by bike. The distance is a super short four miles, or 2.8 if I take a shortcut so I will definitely be riding my bike every day that it doesn't rain. I'm sure the Fitness Pups will love their new place as well because not only does it have two dog parks but I also will be able to go home on my lunch break to walk them! Yay!

What kind of workouts did you do this weekend?
