The Worst Smell in the World

Good morning fit friends!

I hope this new day finds you re-energized and motivated for a healthy weekend. Thanksgiving is right around the corner so it's time to work extra hard to earn that Holiday feast most of us will be enjoying on Thursday. I know I cannot wait to see my family and spend some quality down time in the Sofie household.

Is it weird that I'm excited to fly to Omaha? I actually hate flying, not because I'm scared of heights or anything but because it is always such a hassle. My last two years in high school I flew almost every weekend for softball, recruiting tournaments and campus visits. The layovers and cancellations as well as spending nights in the airport got old really quick! Not to mention my luck with picking the perfect seat. I always get sat next to someone with extremely broad shoulders or long legs who likes to take advantage of the fact that I'm smaller and ends up sitting in their seat, as well as mine! When I'd get to the terminal, I liked to play "guess who you will be sitting next to" on the plane. Find the person sneezing with a handful of snotty kleenex or the one who smells like fried chicken (worst smell in the world for a vegan) and you've got a winner!

Lately, with all of the long driving I've been doing, I can't wait to not have to worry about getting enough caffeine to stay awake while driving, packing 10 hours worth of food and making sure the pups are comfortable during the long trip. My friend Molly will be watching the Fitness Pups while I'm gone so she will be in charge of their workouts and well-being for the weekend!

Today includes a few hours of work, teaching a TRX class and getting through some of my "Nutrition for the Elderly" text to study for my Senior Fitness Specialty Certification. After work I'm going to pick up my packet for the Seaside Shuffle 5k tomorrow and heading over to Buffalo Wild Wings for the Marshall Game watching party around 6. I got my second run of the week in last night so if I do any training today it will be something light. Can't be sore for my race!

Hope you guys have a great morning!
