Last night I completed another 4.5 mile run with just a tiny bit of walking thrown in. My training plan is still calling for a mile on, half a mile off repeated 3 times through but I guess you can say I'm feelin' a bit more motivated lately! I'm finally feeling somewhat like a runner again so that is definitely something I am excited about.
After my run, I hustled over to the Yoga Studio to get in a Yin Deep Stretch class. Other than walking the Fitness Pups, Yin Deep Stretch is my favorite way to cool down after a hard workout. It hurts a little, sometimes a lot, (think super tight IT bands and pigeon pose) while you're doing it, but once you're done, it is so rewarding.
Then I hung out with the Fitness Pups!
Grady's favorite game is playing tug of war with my sweatshirt sleeve.
Look at Muffin all tucked in like a little baby. She's so sweet!
Dinner was a veggie burger with a 100 calorie sandwich thin, half of an avocado and 1/2 tablespoon of Vegannaise.
I've been having a lot of that combo lately!
Today
This morning I hit up another Yoga class here at my Fitness Center. One of the great things about my job? It's really important to check in with your instructors to see how their classes are going and have a good idea of what their teaching style is like. Huge perk for me considering that means I get to work out as a part of my position. Our yoga instructor Laine, led a great Vinyasa Flow class which was a perfect way to start out the day! If you're a PNCC member and haven't tried out one of her classes, it's definitely worth going to.
On the agenda for the rest of the day...
- Staff Meeting at 1
- Consult at 2:45
- TRX class at 4
- Then probably a run and some friend time!
Busy as usual! Have a great afternoon!
