Tuesday Morning Motivation

Before it became my day off, Tuesday used to be my least favorite day of the week. Monday is always long, but I usually have a pretty good sense of motivation. Tuesdays are hard. You're not half way through the week yet and personally, I'm pretty tired from going hard all day on Monday. But not this Tuesday! I'm officially on vacation for the rest of the week! I feel like a kid again going home for Thanksgiving break, excited to be out of class. I can't wait to see my family!

When I woke up this morning, I deemed today my cleaning day. With absolutely nothing on my to do list but a few miles to get in on the treadmill (it's another rainy day in Wilmington), I decided I should clean my apartment so that when I come home from break, I can come home to a nice, clean living space!  As I was rearranging some books and going through some stuff I don't need anymore, I came across my softball binder from my senior year at Marshall. It was fun to go through, checking out scouting reports on players I once faced and looking at all my game notes where I motivated myself to approach each and every player with a winning attitude and a fierce sense of confidence.

I also came across a ton of really motivating quotes that I thought I could share with you all, as you take your wellness journey. One or more of them might be of use to you!

"Excellence is not an exception, it is a prevailing attitude." -Colin Powell

"A champion pays an extra price to be better than anyone else." -Bear Bryant

"Remember, tomorrow is promised to no one." -Walter Payton

"It is hard to beat a person who never gives up." -Babe Ruth

"I hated every minute of it but I said, don't quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion." -Muhammad Ali

"Use everything as if it belongs to God. It does." -Unknown

"…and I will give you as your works deserve." -Revelations 2:23

"Think big, believe big, act big and results will be BIG!"-Unknown

My first run of the week is a run at 1.5 miles long, 2 minutes walking, repeated 3 times. Other than that, I am cleaning and meeting Molly to frolic around Mayfaire, get some yummy Starbucks and pick up her race packet for the Turkey Trot 5k on Thursday!

Have a happy Tuesday!

What are some of your favorite motivational quotes?
